Question about usage on IRON RANGER STYLE NO. 3365 women's work boot.
So I love my red wings, I am a Peace Corps Volunteer living in rural Colombia and my boyfriend gave me these for my birthday a few months ago. I often go to farms and outdoor mountain terrain to business consult with agricultural workers. Sometimes due to rain and lack of road infrastructure my boots get muddy and crusty. I usually let them sit at night waiting for the mud to dry and clean them in the morning. My boyfriend says I should not be using these boots for this purpose but they're so comfortable and amazing I disagree. When I clean I know not to soak in water I usually chip off dry mud, use my horse brush to dust off and if the mud is thick I'll dip a tooth brush with water and lightly scrub to loosen things up then wipe away with unscented baby wipes. I'll wait for them to dry completely and I'll throw some clear boot grease on. Any advice if I should not be putting my boots through this type of use? I would really appreciate it love my boots and wanna treat them well!
