Setting up the lightboxes and cable holder.

Hey everyone, I will be buying a vive next week and have two questions.

1: would it be enough to place the boxes high up at the edge of my furniture or do they have to angle down? I live in a dorm with incredible solid walls and would like not to drill any more holes. Any suggestions?

2. Anyone tried or knows of some kind of hanger contraption that can be bought/build that would hold the cable above your head from the ceiling that would be able to turn? My playspace will be just a bit over 2mX2m so I imagine there should be a relatively easy way to do that.
