Blurry/changed Vision after Eclipse

Hey all, didn't know where else to post. So I was dumb and looked at the sun for 3-5 seconds Monday during the eclipse. It was cloudy and I didn't know that short of a time could hurt. Since, my vision seems kind of blurry or I have light sensativity (or both).

I went to the optometrist and he did a pretty detailed exam. He said he was 99% sure there was no damage, but we are going to do some kind of retina scan/imaging this Thursday. Meanwhile he did say my astigmatism was slightly worse and I could wear my glasses if I want.

Questions:

  1. Does this sound like solar retinopathy? He looked for the spots but the technician for that machine wasn't there.

  2. Would the sun make my astigmatism worse?

  3. How woried should I be? Kind of freaked out as I was having some really bad trouble late at night.

He also said my eyes were a little dry so I am goign to get some drops now. It just doesn't seem to be getting better. I am also kind of a known hypochondriac. If it is solar ret, will it get any worse (like can I expect decreased vision more everyday?) I am trying to not get too worried until the Thursday exam with the machine.
