When to ask for tortilla

Hey so dumb question, but I'm not from the US and I wanna hit up chipotle while I'm here. If I want corn tortillas on the side of my bowl do I ask at the beginning or at the end of the line? I get nervous ordering haha but I used to work on food service and don't wanna make anything harder on the employees
