I (16M) feel like I have to tell my gf (15F) whatever she wants to hear even if I dont necessarily want to or feel like it
I had previously gotten out of a very unhealthy relationship and into this one which I had loved until about the fourth month. We had a big bump and started talking about things we didn't like about each other, but not exactly in a kind way, but not aggressive either. Now I think about it every day.
For example a couple of the things were that I wasn't exactly the guy she would be looking for, as in I'm not as religious as she is (she is Christian but I don't practice any beliefs) and I'm not as into her hobbies as she is like band or music.
Now these things bug me everyday in how I'm not who she wanted but I'm here now. To note, this is also her first real or long relationship as all others had been middle school less than a week not real ones. And I guess since we are both only in high school it isn't "real" but it is what we are gonna get right now. I've learned a lot from past relationships gone wrong like communicating is key and to make sure it's a healthy relationship and you have things in common etc but she hasn't learned a lot of this and I worry it could go wrong.
But what bugs me the most is how since I feel so insecure about her loving me or just loving me as a boyfriend and not ME is I don't know what to say anymore. I don't want to be lazy or just not say things like how much I love her every morning but I feel like I have to end every Goodnight describing how beautiful she is so she feels like I still love her or that I'm still trying.
During the fight we had she said she misses when I would talk about how gorgeous she was and I tell her that a lot but I guess when we first started going out compared to now I'd think she would already know I think she is jaw dropping. Or maybe I am just being dumb, or maybe I should just keep saying things she wants to hear and a happy wife (gf in this case) happy life.
TLDR: I feel insecure about if she loves me for me or for a boyfriend and whether I should keep telling her what she wants to hear to be happy or do something about how I don't just want to say words with no meaning
