Class Companion Returns Visual Side-by-Side Comparison (KOTFE/KOTET Spoilers)

After replaying Chapter I: "The Hunt" on my main for the first time since KOTFE launch I was inspired to make a list of companion returns as of 5.4 for side by side comparison to visually demonstrate who is getting spoiled and shafted the hardest :P

Empire Classes

Bounty Hunter: 4/5 companions
Major Companions Missing: 1 (Mako) Romance Returns: 1 Companions involved in Main Story: 2

Comment: Almost the whole team has returned, with some pretty cool appearances of companions in the story (Gault).

Verdict: very spoiled

Imperial Agent: 3/5 companions (+1 soon)

Major Companions Missing: 1 (Temple) Romance Returns: 1 (soon 2) Companions involved in Main Story: 2 Comment: Kaliyo and Scorpio played very major appearances, especially the latter. Even minor returns had decently good story and another companion incoming.

Verdict: very, very, spoiled

Sith Warrior: 4/5 companions

Major Companions Missing: 1 (Jaesa) Romance Returns: 2 Companions involved in Main Story: 2 Comment: Almost the whole team has returned. Had a good reunion with Vette and the long awaited Quinn kill. Only missing the much anticipated Jaesa. Don't hold your breath.

Verdict: very spoiled

Sith Inquisitor: 2/5 companions

Major Companions Missing: 3 (Khem, Andronikous, and Ashaara) Romance Returns: 0 Companions involved in Main Story: 0 Comment: Had two companion returns, although minor they were good and voiced. Having a Khem imposter was pretty insulting though. Only imp class with no romance returns or no companions in the story.

Verdict: kinda shafted

Republic Classes

Trooper: 5/5 companions

Major Companions Missing: 0 Romance Returns: 2 Companions involved in Main Story: 2.5 Comment: All of Havoc Squad has appeared. Noted, Tano isn't really a companion again, but he did appear. Given his VA it makes sense. Jorgan was a major return was Elara major-ish. Only class in the game with all companions to have returned/appeared in post KOTFE.

Verdict: very, very, spoiled

Smuggler: 2/5 companions

Major Companions Missing: 3 (Corso, Risha, Akaavi) Romance Returns: 0 Companions involved in Main Story: 0 Comment: Bowdaar had a minor return. Guss' return was minor, but nonetheless very good. No romance companions, no companions with story involvement.

Verdict: kinda shafted

Jedi Knight: 2/5 companions

Major Companions Missing: 3 (Kira, Doc, Scourge) Romance Returns: 0 Companions involved in Main Story: .5 Comment: T7 was (sort of) involved in the main story. Rusk has a minor voiced appearance. However... Scourge's absence is gaping and inexcusable...

Verdict: /facepalm

Jedi Consular: 1/5 companions

Major Companions Missing: 3 (Tharan, Felix, Nadia) Romance Returns: 0 Companions involved in Main Story: 0 Comment: Only one minor companion return. The Consular is the only class without a voice-acted companion to return to the game since Vanilla.

Verdict: totally shafted

Overall

The Spoiled Ones

In my opinion the "award" for the most spoiled goes to the Agent.

Non-Force classes have understandably gotten some favoritism given the Force-tilt of the recent story. The Agent had the most companions with the most influence on the main story without question and will have Vector soon. I have a hunch we could expect to see Temple fairly soon too.

Trooper is a close second, they have all companions making an appearance, though most of them had relatively little impact on the story compared to the Agent.

Honorable mentions should go to the Bounty Hunter and the Warrior in that order.

The Shafted Ones

The dubious honor of most post-KOTFE companion shafted class undoubtedly goes to the Jedi Consular.

The Consular has gotten jack. Qyzen was a very, very, minor return. Tai Cordon (not a companion) had a one-liner and was negligible. Zenith was supposed to have a good (minor) return but that was cut.

Which is surprising, I'm sure the battle-tested Balmorran rebels would have been able to play a role...and certainly Tharan Cedrax would have some interest in Iokath or some part to play in this very xeno-tech oriented story...

Another honorable mention needs to go to the Smuggler... given the Force-tilt of the story and the lack of main character companions, it would have made a close second but for Guss' very good (minor) return.

The Knight deserves a special mention. While the overall story is practically tailor made for that class and was thus rightly (in my opinion) not focused on for companions...

...Lord Scourge's absence in the post-Vanilla Vitiate storyline is unforgiveable. Utterly unforgiveable. All classes were robbed by his absence in the story...not just the Knight.

What do you think? Do you think a class has been spoiled less or shafted more than I give it credit for?
