The way Overwatch handles DCing and rejoining needs to be changed
Right now, if you disconnect for ANY length of time, you will be given a loss for the game, regardless of how quickly you get back in and if you go on to win.
Thankfully this only happened to me now in Lucioball comp, decided to finally finish up placements and play a game or two to get ranked for the sake of it - played for a good few minutes with no issues at all and we were up 5-2. I get the pop-up on screen saying "Rendering device has been lost" and the game closes. Oh well, I'm still connected to the internet, nothing on that end - it was just a video card issue. So, I relaunch Overwatch within literally 5 seconds, load up and rejoin. It took me literally less than 15 seconds to get back into the game, nobody on either team had scored and it was back to usual.
We went on to win 7-2, got the standard "VICTORY" on screen and I assumed all was good.
Nope.
Got given a loss for that game and I'm suspended for 30 minutes.
Why? I completely understand should you be gone for 1-2 minutes+ but for literally 15 seconds? It wasn't even the damn internet, it was application side and even then I was instantly back in to no detriment of my team, we stomped the game. There needs to be a threshold for players who genuinely don't intend to throw and are set on getting back ASAP (And who do) so they don't get punished for it. I had no control over the fact Overwatch would lose connection with my gfx card and I joined back asap, yet I'm still punished for it.
