##A list of very helpful information given by this subreddit over the years!
##Transportation/Parking
-
Don't have a car or bike? Use the * U-Pass Tap Program – Free Long Beach Transit on all city transit buses
-
Friday parking is more lax.
-
5th and 6th floor of the parking garage by the pyramid is mostly always free.
-
Try to find parking around 7-9am. Be prepared to wait up to an hour 10-12pm. Eases up after 3rd week.
-
Don't wanna pay for parking? Park at near bus stations along the U-Pass Tap Program.
##Academics/Classes
-
Join your department’s student association. The professors who contribute their time will know you better, which is always a good thing, and you'll meet the students in your major who can be excellent resources in your classes down the road.
-
If in a waitlist, try to email professor. Being 2+ in waitlist, chances much lower.
-
Stuck in waitlist and couldn't get in a class? Crash first day and try to get an add code. Most professors will also print out the waitlist. For more information on waitlists see link.
-
Do you REALLY need a class and you are graduating this semester? Show the professor and they may pity you.
