I know all multinational corporations are fucking evil, but Nestle consistently manage to find their way into the top leagues of evil even within that group of scum and villainy.

all the big CEOs are the same, aren't they? they put money over morals and it's disgusting

Thats how system works. You need sociopaths to create capital.

The fuckiest thing is Canadian government used to let them bottled millions liters of water for $5 bucks. Yes, five fucking bucks per millions of liters. Until now, they got it for free. One year ago this was posted in r/canada, goddamn liberals flooded in and said government should allow them to do it for free. Now they got the wishes.

SwiftMustacheYOU SWINE!•

You know the worst part of it? They're half right. Water should flow freely. But Libs don't understand that it shouldn't flow in the pockets of a fucking evil corporation like Nestle. Nor any corporation for that matter. Remember people. Ideals are important, Emotions are important, Morals are too. Don't give them up for vague ideas of "what must be done" and "how the world works". Even if it's called irrational. Keep putting your Hearts on the front line. We have enough brains already.

They did the same thing in Michigan. Meanwhile the people of Flint still don't have clean water.

And that's why I've been boycotting that brand as much as possible for the last couple of years.

OmegaFriendOPComrade•

Truly a company worth boycotting. They consistently show us their dark side, while knowing they are too big to fail.

6
imnotvolunteering•

Often these companies own so many brands that it's difficult to work out which to boycott. Most of the time you don't know who makes a particular supermarket's own brand of an item either.

Knowledge is power so they limit our knowledge.

I've seen this "company map" around for a bit, so it may be outdated but it's a start. I think Topco is the Many-Faced God behind most store brands.

4

Thanks for the information. I see what you mean about Topco being a many-faced god!

As a Canuck, I pity Nestle for doing such a nasty thing.

ProleLivesMatterAnarchist Communist•

You should be pity for thousands of First Nations currently living in Canada lacks of water.

RespublicaCuriaeStudying Marxism•

And that. The liberal government of Trudeau isn't helping them at all.

8
ProleLivesMatterAnarchist Communist•

Trudeau is a neoliberal hack no more than his predecessor Harper. The next prime minister-elects are going to be the same turds of shit. Nothing will be changed and it will get worse.

Word, fellow Canadian.

I can't read the whole article, it's too infuriating, sorry.

Coca cola has been doing the same thing all over the globe. Dispiccable..

1
IAmTheReign•

The article is four years old. Groundwater licensing in BC has been in place since early last year. This is more latetothepartycommunism than latestagecapitalism

2
OmegaFriendOPComrade•

This case got a lot of attention and some measures have been put into place to improve the situation.

The point here isn't whether this particular situation has been resolved or not, the point is what happens when corporations run wild, unchecked. This kind of behaviour has been rampant for decades. Coca cola has ruined many rural areas across the globe by stealing their water. This is not an odd case.

The only thing remotely different about this situation is that it happened in a western country.

I agree every human should have access to war, but declaring it a right doesn't make that so sadly

Don't fall in the trap of "realism" and "pessimism" the world Doesn't change if you just accept it for how it is. We have to mold it to be better, They're not joking when they say it's a blank canvas. What do you think these "elites" did? They molded it to their whims. Shoot for the moon, land amongst the stars and all that.
