Sweet Prairie Park
It was when we were born
My friend, don't you remember?
We biked between acorns
and listened to old Leonard
We were weaving like crocodiles
Veering in virgin lands,
You showed me how they smile
and I cracked my own like I can
My mouth was dry & open wide
Inside the dividing snake.
We sung some sighs, with late arrival,
For breath the girls can take
Cutting through sweet prairie park
You asked me again of a G-d,
I examined the heart’s marks,
and then the gold upon the rods
You pulled me away & up, see
For my eyes fell near the ground,
I thank the lord to know thee
and hope our revolution stays round
Forgive me, this is my first post... I'm not quite sure how to double-copy-paste the feedback links to be sweetly short like I've seen many of yours. / I'm hoping to just have someone give their impression of this, I feel as though I have no one to listen to me really that appreciates poetry. Any feedback would be deeply appreciated!
