Enjoyed it, but it seems so rushed! Wish is was an hour long.

Felt to me like it was edited by a youtuber.

I felt the same. Felt like a really rushed one hour show.

Totally agree. I think that this show definitely has enough substance to make an entertaining hour-long episode.

It is definitely not a show that will succeed when it is so short per episode.

I don’t know if I agree with that. I just saw the pilot, and while I’d prefer hour-long episodes and think it would fit the show better, I think that they can make things work with thirty minutes per episode. The pilot felt rushed, but they also had to introduce everything. Now that they’re established, I think it will be okay with half hour episodes. That said, I’d love to see them extend things down the line.

Well I'm going to go ahead and say I loved it. Cheesy as hell, and that music! It felt like Faltermeyer was back in town scoring Tango & Cash 2.

Right? Higher Love is stuck in my head now

Weird coincidence. I was watching another premiere right after this one, Young Sheldon (Don't judge me, and no it wasn't good), and it featured the exact same song. Yeah, been blasting it in my head ever since.

I liked it and would watch again but it was very rushed and the Craig Robinson being a grumpy dick gets old quick so I hope they actually become friends and move on past all of that. But yeah should have been 40 minutes! And the whole bureau makes no sense lol - gives them jobs after kidnaping them with no training - then after good work tell them to leave? And then they say they don’t want to so they stay? Lol

Haha, the slapping in the copier scene caught me off guard. The humor is great, I bet this show will do well.

6
Dinner_SausageOP•

Agreed! Loved that scene as well.

There's definitely some potential.

So bad and so rushed.

But ill be here every week. I love it. It had some laughs. It had some misses.

But it was a pilot so ill give it a few more weeks.

Watching now, I have seen far worse television than this...far better but also far worse.

I liked it.

Some of the way the video / audio was reminded me of Kung Fury in a good way.

Thought it was hilarious, looking forward to more episodes

It made me so happy(?) that Max's wife really was abducted and didn't just leave him.

But can someone explain to me the episode. Is Max now is a separate universe than the original Leroy? Because the floating car incident transported him to a new universe? So in the "current" world shown. Everyone is a different-universe person except Max, who is from the original?

So "nice" Leroy is actually a different-universe person than "original" Leroy?

Let me know if I'm mistaken. Thanks!

Defintely possible, but who knows where they'll take it. That is a good thought though.

I don't know how much we're really supposed to know right now.

It was a fun show, and it apparently beat the other fox shows that night and expanded on the lead in audience from the Simpsons.

It's also getting slightly better than average reviews, so hopefully it gets a chance to really find itself.

Dinner_SausageOP•

Personally I think you’re going a little too deep into it. I admire your thinking and believe that’s a good theory but we have to remember it is a 30 minute comedy show not a drama. I don’t think an advanced plot like that would really fit this type of format. I could definitely be wrong though.

I really hope it does well. I love Ben Wya...I mean Adam Scott. I really hope this show does very well.

I do think it strange that they knew they had his wife, but didn't tell him. They will either not mention it/say they couldn't tell him/or they didnt know

bombdailer•

Couldn't get past 5 minutes. This is some new levels of bad.

2
DanaCarvey•

Damn really? I was looking forward to it. Do you usually like Adam Scott and Craig Robinson?

1
qidinho1012•

Honestly kind of agree. The first 5 minutes were kinda brutal. But that being said the rest of the episode was actually pretty enjoyable. Some misses here and there but overall they took a standard plot and put a unique spin on it

One thing is they have too much going on in regards to backstories. But I guess the silver lining is that it means they had a lot of storylines to work with

6
DanaCarvey•

Yeah so it has good potential? It looks really well made

2
qidinho1012•

I mean I'm gonna keep watching lol

5
Dinner_SausageOP•

Yeah I think it has great potential. There are so many possibilities for the series. Whether they do a mission a week or stick with an ongoing storyline for a few episodes. I would enjoy either one. And yes it is definitely well made. Another great FOX comedy.

It's not a good show so far

2
Dinner_SausageOP•

Ah really? I will admit the first 5 or so minutes of the episode were kinda weird especially for a premiere to a brand new series. In my opinion though, after you get through that the episode is great and I think it sets up the series well. Overall I found it very funny and at the end of the day that is what this show is all about. Comedy.

1
DKahnt•

It feels as if it's an hour show that was edited down to a half hour show.

2
bloodflart•

good show to watch in the background when you got other shit going on

2
crushcastles23•

The best version of Kevin Spacey line really doesn't hold up anymore.

2
TheBrowGame•

What's with the new Adam Scott's shows and the super quick cuts? Same thing in Little Evil. It seems like the whole thing is rushed and I didn't laugh once. I will give a few more episodes a try and if it doesn't improve, then just meh.

1
WiretapStudios•

I agree, Little Evil had potential but the editing / pacing / etc. was pretty off and like 90% of the humor fell flat.
