Returning Player Needing Marketplace Suggestions

I started and stopped playing DCUO in 2014 on the ps3. I was a broke teen at the time and couldn't progress farther than the base game. Tomorrow though I plan to return on the same system(for now) and get the first episode bundle and 1000 sc so I can get to premium. I don't have plans to get the second bundle until after Black Friday sometime.

My question is what should I use the currency on? A new power or the lair system maybe? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend the Gear Up Bundle which includes:

  • Lair System : Includes Gotham & Deco Lair themes + Access to Tactical Mods & Combat Trinkets (Orbital Strike, Supply Drop, Henchmen/Backup, Sidekicks)

  • Utility Belt Access : A Utility Belt allows you to Equip up to 4 Trinkets or Consumables in your Trinket slot; Very useful when using multiple Lair System Trinkets (such as Orbital Strike + Supply Drop + Henchmen)

  • Shield Weapon Access

The Teleporter Amenity is also useful as it allows you to instantly travel to locations determined by Generator Location Mods. You must have Lair System Access to use Generator Mods.

The best Generator Location Mods:

  • Gotham City : Selectable List of Gotham locations

  • Metropolis : Selectable List of Metropolis locations

  • Urgent Warfronts : Selectable List of Episode open world locations

  • Bases & League Halls : Selectable List of player Bases and League Halls that you have been given access to

  • Gotham & Metropolis : Selectable List of Gotham and Metropolis locations

I had no idea this existed and I don't know how much it costs but OP, I'd look into this if I were in your shoes.

Lair system, Base Teleporter amenity, Armories are the most useful. Maybe Utility Belt if you want the extra slots which you probably will after getting the Lair system.

I've been gone awhile so I've gotta ask. What's the lair even for?

It's a much larger base. More room, more space to put base items for prestige. I'll also add that the previous comment was great information but I will say that you should consider subscribing. It would save you having to purchase episodes and powers and in the long run, it's a much better investment. Nothing wrong with just being premium though.

Thank you for clarifying. I don't really have the cash or time to warrant a subscription right now. That's why I'm buying pieces so I can play at my own pace without worrying about the clock winding down on a subscription.

Of the abilities is Atomic or Quantum any fun? I'm considering those two heavily.

I totally understand. One episode pack at a time is a great way to work on sp by focusing on the feats in the episodes you have. Atomic​ and Quantum are both great powers and really it depends on preference. Quantum is fun, great for trolling and it looks/feels good to play. Atomic is also fun, great for tanking as well as PvP. I suggest starting a new toon with both if you can and see which one you enjoy more.
