Porcelain
Cars pass silently on the other side of frayed blinds.
Bouncing golden light dancing across languid limbs
My eyes traverse a familiar landscape and rise to meet your own
An ardent smile reflected in tender inky pupils
In that moment I read you, and I know,
I bask in humbled amazement at the realisation.
Disappearing in a blink, fragile and fleeting,
An ache surges within as I cling to the moment.
Strong arms pull tightly, comforting, snug.
My flesh melts into yours, blurring, accepting.
I reach fervently, longingly through your being,
Shrinking down as I sink further,
Nestling gently within your ribs,
Spooning softly against your heart.
A steady beat singing a soothing lullaby.
