Don't know what to do besides save the money in my account USAA can't do anything about it and I called the VA but they had over an hour wait time. Opinions on how to resolve this asap?

Yes, 1) don't spend the money. 2) send an email inquiry here: https://gibill.custhelp.com/app/utils/login_form/redirect/ask and you should get an answer in 2 or 3 days.

Are both payments the exact amount?

Very unusual for that to happen. Send the email instead of sitting on the phone for 2 hours and get lied to - had a couple of my students get lied to today because it was probably easier to lie than actually figure out what the problem was. I had to call up and get an entirely different answer.

The email goes to people with years of experience unlike the telephone operators

Thank you for your help. I just submitted to them so hopefully I'll here from them soon.

Definitely make sure you hold onto that money. They'll get their amount back one way or another.

Education call center usually doesn't have a bad wait time at all. Try calling them again a 888-442-4551 and let them know to make sure. They should be able to give you advice about repayment.

glad you were able to get through so fast, had a student sit in my lobby for more than one hour on hold waiting.
