[Request for Advice for the Sidebar] We need a post with advice for moving to NYC

Hey folks, it came to my attention that while we have a great post in the sidebar for moving to LA (thanks u/WinonaPortman!) there isn't one for NYC (or Atlanta for that matter). I'd love for someone to take a shot at writing one, or perhaps throwing out advice in here and I can put it together. It comes up a lot so it would be great to have something ready for folks.

I'd do it myself but I moved here years ago and I haven't moved within the city very much so I feel out of touch with the good neighborhoods for new NYers to focus on.
