Forced displacement when your only form of allowed purge is 'Displacement' and you 'Cleanse' a planet as a wargoal?

Suggestion

Could this be a thing? Entire galaxy hates me now because I naturally assumed that when I'm Inwards Perfection, have Displacement Only active and choose 'Cleanse planet' as a wargoal it'd displace them not kill them all ;(

This is how it should work, spawning ai ships that each hold a POP and search for worlds to settle on based on:

  1. Planets owned by the empire they previously belonged to (inhabited or otherwise)
  2. Planets belonging to the same species
  3. Planets belonging to the same ethos
  4. Founding a new empire on an uninhabited and unowned world

It could be like assimilation, the pops are there with high unrest and don’t work tiles, but are slowly rounded up and moved off world. A processing center of some kind could speed up the process, as well as number of available tiles in their origin empire.

Yeah, it's really weird that the Abandon Planet war goal no longer exists.

The way to accomplish what you're looking for in the current game is to Cede the planet to you, then displace the pops from it afterwards.

The Abandon Planet wargoal does still exist, they just stopped naming it euphemistically. If anything, even just mass displacement should create some negative diplomatic consequences.

You can't cede planets as inward perfection, only cleanse or liberate them.
