First thing I've drawn in probably 10 years. It felt right to start up again by paying homage to my favorite artist.

I really love this style

Sorry to get back to you late, but, if you like the style, you should really check out Yoshitaka Amano! I'd love to claim the style as my own, but it's not, unfortunately :D!

Mine is an (attempted) redrawing of Yoshitaka Amano's Princess of the Cherry Blossom. I've been inspired by his style every since I picked up my first Final Fantasy game as a child. Naturally, I wanted to begin my new sketchbook with an image that inspired me to start again.
I immediately recognized it as Amano inspired before I read your comment, so good job there. I like it, I hope you keep going because you obviously have talent.
Wow! Thank you so much for your comment! The encouragement really means a lot to me :).
If you haven't yet, check out his Vampire Hunter D stuff. It's amazing!
I've seen it!! I love that stuff! My favorites will always be his work on the Final Fantasy series, though.
Oh I absolutely agree, I just know D is less know and wanted to make sure it didn't get missed, cheers!
Thanks!! I know that, had I not already been familiar with it, I would have been very grateful to you!
