LPT: Don't break the rules, or the evil mods might ban you
Hello!
Recently we made an announcement asking people to stop posting memes and racism. It has helped, but with our continued growth, I cannot emphasize this enough.
##This subreddit is only for screenshots of Desi people being hilarious on social media!
No memes! No comics! No bad photoshops! All submissions must show evidence of social media. And most of all...
##No people mocking!
We are here to celebrate the subjects of our posts, not to cringe at perverts. We are tightening down on the type of content we allow, because frankly looking at this sub can be horrifying at times and we want to change that. From our sidebar:
##Indian culture has a unique way of examining the everyday and we are here to showcase that.
If your post isn't showcasing someone being genuinely hilarious on social media, it will be removed! We are here to laugh with the subject of the submission, not to laugh at them. Don't post it if they're not trying to be funny! We mods are grumpy and we're mean people, so we may ban you if you ignore the rules. We do not want to promote racist stereotypes.
####Reminder: Don't make any comments that contain these terms:
Designated, poo, poo in loo, bobs, vagene, truk, rape or raep, Pajeet
ET CETERA, this list is not conclusive. Any comment we deem to be denigrating and disrespectful to non-native English speakers, other races or ethnicities, and anything similar is subject to removal and moderator action.
So do yourself a favor, don't be racist and don't promote hateful stereotypes. Don't mock the subjects of our submissions. And dont post stuff that doesnt show someone being funny. We are not r/CreepyPMs or r/cringeanarchy, and we do not ever, ever want to be.
OPEN BOB IS NOT FUNNY ANYMORE, THIS IS HOW YOU SOUND:
Violating the rules is grounds for a ban. Repeatedly violating the rules is grounds for a permanent ban. Posting racism is grounds for a ban. Racist comments are grounds for a ban.
Failing to upvote this post is, believe it or not, grounds for a ban. The bans will continue until morale improves.
