[Event] First Conflict Get Hype

Event

"100 men???" Owen Tarly exclaimed at the patrol captain, "They dare to march 100 men into my land?".

Owen sat in his solar, where only the patrol captain dared to bring him the news.

"Y-yes, m'lord" the captain said, shaking from fear - Owen was not a kind master.

"Who spoke to them? Bring him here!"

"I'm afraid..." the man hesitated, "He shat himself, m'lord, and hasn't been the same since".

Owen slammed his fist onto the desk.

"Leave me!" he shouted. The man scurried off like a rat before Owen set to work writing three letters. In each he included a roughly-drawn map indicating the point where the patrols met. The first letter he wrote was to his liege lord:

To my liege Leo Tyrell,

100 men of House Blackmont have been found to be patrolling my lands here, claiming it to be their own. The Dornish are showing their hand, and frankly it will not stand.

I am sending a raven to the Blackmonts to tell them to move their troops, and sending strength to the point in question to secure it, and drive them out if necessary. I do not intend to have Blackmonts on my land while the bodies of the Reach's heroes are returned to us.

First in Battle,

Lord Owen Tarly of Horn Hill.

Next, Owen wrote to the Blackmonts:

To House Blackmont,

A patrol of 100 of your men have been found to be patrolling this area, claiming it as their own domaing. As this is both clearly the Reach's territory and under my direct domain, I am informing you now that this is completely inappropriate behavior.

I request your men be moved from this area immediately. My security in the area has increased significantly as of now.

First in Battle,

Lord Owen Tarly of Horn Hill.

His third letter went to his new ally in the East:

To Lord Byron Caron of Nightsong,

As we discussed, the Dornish have begun flaunting their power. A patrol of 100 Blackmont men have moved to this point in my lands and have claimed it under their domain.

I do not request aid with this letter. While I am sure you would fight invaders if need be, I have more than enough means to immediately quash this filth. I merely wish to inform you of the boldness of the Dornish, and to encourage you to keep an extra close watch on your borders if need be.

First in Battle,

Lord Owen Tarly of Horn Hill
