Refrigerator Temperature Control Replacement Question
I have a Frigidaire side-by-side that I have diagnosed with a bad temperature control. My question is, how important is it that I replace it with the same part number? My options from amazon are $25-$65, or I can check the local dump if this is a fairly ubiquitous part between fridges.

Way too vague of a question. Cold controls differ in mounting, cut in and cut out, capilarry length, orientation, etc etc. What's the part # you need? Ill give you the possible replacements

That's not a Frigidaire number. I'm guessing you took that # from the part itself, if so then its just an internal number from the manufacturer and shouldn't be used for ordering. You'll only find junk ones from other people who did the same thing and took the # directly from the part.
Frigidare part #s are usually 9 or 10 digits long and start with 2 or 5.
What is your model # inside the fridge?

There ya go. That's a random one, no aftermarket replacements and no crossovers. You should use original.
