[PD] Jeff Green

Minutes have increased in all 5 games (14, 18, 21, 24, 27) and his stats last night looked solid, though it was against Brooklyn. 18 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, a steal, and 2 blocks. If he maintains around 25 minutes a game is he worth an add in deeper leagues? My thought was he only did alright the past 2 nights because LBJ was at the point and that won’t last very long.

Anything is better than Crowder at this point.

Jeff Green is going to play a lot this year for one simple reason, he's a fantastic fit alongside Lebron.

Lebron has NEVER had a player like Jeff Green to play alongside, an athletic SF who is roughy his size who can shoot or make quick cuts to the bucket, AND can play defense. Why have we never seen a guy like this play with Lebron? It just seems so obvious.

Wade & Rose are totally screwed now for minutes, neither space the floor enough to effectively play with Lebron paired with one of Green / Crowder, and both need the ball in their hands. Rose also is not a good defender, Wade will probably not try very hard most of the year on defense.

Meaning, we will see a ton of Lebron-Green pairings all season. Wade & Rose will play most of their minutes when Lebron sits or rests games.

Later in the year, when Thomas is back, it probably hurts Green more on offense (since Thomas is such an excellent scorer, he definitely will take the plays with Bron & the ball out of Green's hands), but until then Green is Gold.

I actually can't see Green not logging 25 min/game for most of the year, the Cavs will just have insane efficiency and lineup flexibility. Green is yes, an inconsistent player, but playing alongside Lebron James shouldn't cause him to be inconsistent. He's inconsistent because he's not a superstar but is expected to carry the offensive load, he is still a very very good scorer. Lebron allows him to get easy open cuts to the hoop or open jump shots. And when he played alongside Durant ages ago, Green was efficient and not considered inconsistent. Its only when he's expected to carry the offensive load at times without a top end passer on other teams and situations that he's had trouble.

Snatch him up quickly, anyone with half a basketball brain can see that Green is the best player to pair alongside Lebron (other than Love) on this roster for most of the year. Crowder too if he ever improves, but we'll see.

Wade didn't play last night so his minutes got distributed. Something to keep in mind

I don't think this will continue, as Jeff Greens entire career can attest to.

I think he'll lose a lot of minutes when Rose and Wade are back too

Wade was rested for some bizarre reason and Green is as inconsistent as they come.

Same applies to Korver. The problem is the Cavs have too many proven veterans and all of them can make a case for more/less playing time any given week. At the end of the day, LeBron, Love, and maybe Crowder are the only ones with safe floor. Condolences to those who drafted Wade and Rose.

At what point do I drop Crowder. So disappointing.

in 10 team you should have already dropped him you probably have better waiver wire options

Not in my competitive league.

Best options are like Tyreke Evans, Belinelli, Snell, E. Turner, Korver, R. Anderson. None of these guys are great pick ups.
