Why does Yahoo!'s player projections go up or down slightly every day? What factors determine these numbers??

Are these projections some kind of average projected score amongst various professionals or is this some sort of algorithm that takes into effect every fine detail? Because some of these projections seem to just be extremely high or extremely low given the situation these players are actually in.
