Could [SPOILER] connect Detective Comics to the overall Rebirth storyline?

I was starting to get the impression that Detective Comics and Tim Drake were ultimately going to be separate from, and ultimately inconsequential to, the overarching Rebirth narrative. But is it possible that Brother Eye could be the way that this connects Tim Drake and Detective Comics back to Oz, Rebirth, and potentially Doomsday Clock?

Brother Eye is usually a big deal but he’s been used in a lot of big events by this point so that’s sort of a hole in the theory. I don’t know, tell me what you guys think :)
