What does your club do to present chess to the public and get passers-by involved?

From next year on there will be a series of events in my soon to be hometown, culminating in a huge exhibition with up to 2 million visitors over a few weeks. (The "Landesgartenschau", it's about horticulture and landscape architecture.) Our chessclub may be a minor part of the program leading to the exhibition and of the main event itself.

There will be a meeting with the organizers soon. What can we offer them? There will be outdoor chess and regular boards, players from the club present to play with, one or more simul exhibitions, maybe an exhibition blitz tournament or something similar.

All of that is fine, but it sounds very much like the regular stuff to me, and I wonder if there's something special we haven't thought of.
