Advice for audio stutter/sputter/static/bad quality?

Windows 10, I'm using my discrete GFX card to drive my MeMU emulator. With both MX and Exo, I will sometimes get static audio quality when watching movies.

Are there any settings I should look into to fix this? None of my resources are at max load.

This happens a lot more when Im switching around programs, or clicking onto the emulator.
