Reason for hiatus?

I bet there was such a long gap between seasons 3 and 4 because some of his schemes failed.

Nathan is quite persistent, and finds a way to make lots of situations work for him, tv magic and all. I get the sense the interactions with people on the show are real, so it's pretty funny what Nathan has accomplished.

But he can't always win, right? He surely had ideas that were just too difficult to execute. I bet that took up time and budget. I'd love a blooper episode of sorts where the footage from the failed attempts are explained and aired.
