It was just some back alley antique shop in an old part of a small town in China where I picked up the amulet. I take it to the counter and as I hand the young teen working the register my money, the old woman I could've sworn was asleep, if not dead, began to jabber something in Chinese that I didn't understand. The kid working the register rolls his eyes "she say this ancient fertility diety amulet. She say necklace have magic, make lower inhibitions of opposite sex but be careful it come with price or something like that I don't know, she crazy old." he translates in broken lazy English clearly not believing what she said. I chuckle, " haha right magic okay whatever kid I'm already buying it you don't need to sell it." he shrugs and takes my money and wraps the necklace up and hands it to me. I take it back and pack it with my other souvenirs and forgetting about it for the rest of the trip. As I'm back in my room at home unpacking from the trip I come across the amulet and laugh thinking of what the old lady said  just as you walk in my room.
