You are a Muslim? Take some alcohol free beer.

This was the tale when I was studying/working in Japan.

The 2nd night, I arrived in Japan, the company had a mini feast where we had Halal BBQ and potluck. Since it was hard to find a Halal restaurant in the province, I took the liberty to cook for the 40+ people. It was suppose to be only 5 but hey the more the merrier.

When night comes, everyone was drinking beer, wine, soju while eating Halal chicken and lamb. (There's a store that provide Halal food but only those two, Halal Chicken and Halal Lamb, the rest you have to order online).

What I didn't expect is the massive amount of gift that I got which was non alcoholic beer. Tons of it. More than 5 dozen if I'm not mistaken.

Honestly, I didn't know what is the exact 'hukum' but generally Muslim don't drink beer even without alcohol.

The party ended with most of them getting drunk but amazingly, my boss was at the office before 6.30 am. No one was late to work.

Here lies with the 2nd part of the problem,

I can't drink those beers, can't sell it, can't give it and none of my house mates want non alcoholic beer.

So I recycle them, I poured out the beer to water the plants and recycle the tins.

The end just wanted to share my alcohol free beer story.
