Can’t iron waterproofed cotton?

Hey guys. Been following here for a while and you guys create some awesome stuff. I’m trying to create a pack for myself and I bought some waterproofed cotton, but when it came it had a care label that said I couldn’t iron or wash it.

Has anyone had experience with this coated fabric and know any more information?
