Blue dot tray icon notification

Ever since the new update, the blue dot doesn't appear anymore for me for new messages and mentions. What's the deal with that? Not using betterdiscord and did a clean install after deleting it off both appdata folders. It really bothers me because I focus on that tray icon all the time while tabbed out of discord finishing other tasks.
