SO: I DID THE ELEVATOR RITUAL BECAUSE I FEAR NOT GOD NOR DEATH
http://blahknow.blogspot.ca/2013/08/games-you-dont-want-to-play-3.html <---- The Elevator ritual is here!
Anyway, so this is from the summer because what's a bitch gonna do when they get fired from Chipotle for yelling at a customer and thus have several weeks with nothing to do before senior year starts?
Summon demons. That's what.
Maybe this'll kill the suspense, but I'm gonna preface this with saying your bitch did the ritual right and I'm fine. Elevator chick didn't follow me back and I didn't get dragged back there. Not gonna go missing - probably. Who knows what life will hold?
So, to that good good freaky shit.
There's a hotel near my house that's way over ten floors. I'm not going back there ever since I'm depressed but not suicidal and I'm reckless not an idiot (what if it'scorrupted for me now or something?) but I think that it's really old and that seemed like it'd help the game. Ghosts like old shit.
I went there really late which was an adventure, I have to tell you. I'm pretty small and while I'm not a girl, I definitely look very feminine. Wouldn't it have been just dandy to try and enter a freaky dimension only to get stabbed or murdered or raped or something. I made it there safe though, and no one was there except for a person at the front desk and one woman who was asleep in a chair with a book - to be honest, mood?
Before we get into the elevator, I'm gonna tell y'all something I did as a little precaution. The stories say you might start forgetting about going back to the elevator, so I took a note from Greek Mythology and brought with me a ball of yarn. The point of this was twofold: even if I couldn't remember where the elevator was, I could follow the yarn, and I know how long my yarn is. I thought that this might help with the whole spatial distortion thing.
Anyway, so I got into the elevator and started the floor sequence. Nothing happened until that goddamn girl stepped in.
Y'all this bitch played dirty. You know how the game says you can't look at her because she'll kill you or something? Yeah, I'm not a dumbass, so I didn't look at her. She started moving closer to me though, trying to stand so I'd look at her accidentally. I should say that what I did see in my peripherals was not super human? Uncanny Valley was in full effect. She was kinda glowing, I think? Also maybe grinning - I think she had some kind of memory effect, because I can't recall details.
Cheating bitch.
This is where my phone came in handy. Pretending like I didn't notice her, I took out my phone and scrolled through the rules again - good to review, you know? I swear to God I wanted to punch her, though. I hate people in my space, and she was breathing down my neck.
At the tenth floor, I got out and started unwinding my yarn. I heard the girl ask where I was going, but - again - reckless, not an idiot. Did not reply.
The hallway was basically just as what's been described in the ritual. Everything was dark, lights off, doors rusted shut - and I absolutely checked. I wandered down the hallway, peering at the light in the distance which really was a cross. Not a Jesus cross though, a plus sign. Somehow I don't think that place was holy, and not in the fun way.
I think the cross was what some people have said, a kinda lure to pull people away. I ain't no fool, though, so I ignored it in favor of looking at things. Not everyday you get to visit another dimension. Honestly, it wasn't safe, it didn't feel safe, but it was still almost nice. Like being on a cliff near the edge. Dangerous, but - not bad.
The cross kept moving away, which was irritating because I wanted to see what was up with it, but otherwise it was an alright time.
At least until the noise started. I tell you - I'm brave. Possibly to a dangerous extent. But when that banging started I thought I was going to start crying. It was like nails on a chalkboard, not in the sound but in the feeling hearing it created.
I ran. I'm not ashamed. I don't want to die.
I think my yarn actually did help with the game though. I was able to get back with nothing messing with me, and the hallway didn't get longer. So I hacked the magic Otherworld y'all.
The girl was gone when I got back, and honestly thank God. I think I might have reacted if she hadn't been. The doors kept rattling, but they stopped when the elevator doors closed. I ran through the sequence to return without event and honestly: it was a relief to walk out and see the woman at the front desk and the other woman still snoozing.
Unfortunately, there were consequences.
My dumb ass got grounded for sneaking out at night.
Also I'm pretty sure I cursed that hotel since I keep seeing the elevator chick just chilling in the fifth floor windows, but, y'know, was quite the experience. 9/10 because I couldn't go see the damn cross.
I'm tempted to try more rituals and see if I can hack them too. Anyone got some preferably non-lethal but spooky ones to try?
