I'm looking to get more into hip hop, but not sure how to go about it.

Hi guys,

Like the title says I'm looking to delve deeper into some hip hop. The recent stuff I have been listening to is Aussie hip hop, Skepta and Danny Brown amongst others. I guess this indicates quite a broad range of hip hop styles; I'm open to any suggestions really!

One problem I have is it takes me ages to pick up on lyrics of any song, let alone fast flowing hip hop ones. This results in always wanting a poppier (is that a word?) or heavy beat to the hip hop I currently listen to.

What I'm looking to branch into is some great story telling and lyricism. What are some suggestions of artists, as well as ways to really explore the lyrics and stories within songs/albums?

Thank you in advance!
