What are your thoughts on majoring in economics and going pre med?

As a senior, I’m still largely undecided about what I should major in. I’m certain about going pre med and I know major doesn’t necessarily matter at this point. I enjoy bio, specifically human bio and microbio, but I feel like it’s too crowded. On the other hand, I’m currently in economics and I really enjoy it too; however, aside from an article here and there, I haven’t heard much about majoring econ as a pre med student.
