Certain screens freeze and become unresponsive every three minutes. Still have sound.

Over the past two weeks my computer has started having this issue. I will be playing a game, world of warcraft or overwatch, and the game will freeze and become unresponsive. It also doesn't take any of my inputs while it's frozen. I can still hear sounds from the game.

Im also able to hear sound from other sources, like YouTube or Spotify. I can also move my mouse and click on things in another window when the game is frozen.

This happens every three minutes, almost exactly from what I've noticed.

I tried monitoring my system, like the network and disk, etc, but nothing really out if the norm happens when the game freezes.

I also tried repairing bad sectors, but that didn't make anything better.

What does this sound like is the issue?

This computer was a gift, so I'm not sure what's in it or what the quay of the parts are.
