What are you looking for in Focus?

Discussion

I know this discussions surely has been had, but with DE looking into changes again , I'd like to hear your general thoughts in what you want from the schools and your operator.

Not particulary "Make Zenurik Old Again" or "Balance All The Schools", because I feel those discussion have been had and kinda lead nowhere.

What I like about the current systems in place is they provide an excellent starting point. You awake from the second dream and feel whimpy and small. Your health is abyssmal, you've got no shields, your movement is slow and sluggish, you even take fall damage and it always feels risky to get out of your frame.

Which is an excellent state to improve on as a player. I don't want operators ever to overtake frames in damage, because I think this would be harmful to the gameplay in the longrun. But I'd like the operator to slowly grow out of it's weaknesses and provide an individual utilityline, which ultimately should end in an operator who mastered all the schools to be an absolute powerhouse (we're speaking about almost a games lifetime of investment here after all).

I'd like them to look at the waybound-passives they've got now and fuse them with the poolsystem -> putting points into a school would provide you with passive benefits, which are essentially just numberchanges (+health, +energy, +movementspeed etc).

I think those should be unbound from the getgo, that operators could feel stronger than what they were before even with just a little investment in each school.

I'd also like the vast majority of the schools nodes to be able to be unbound after getting them to max. Making room for experimentation even if you deem a particular passive essential to your playstyle.

I'd like nodes with just one stage. Like have the operator not take fall damage, get an additional jump or even give him the ability to hover/fly.

This is what I want the operator to do after having invested: provide utility like CC, healing, regneration - extend the warframes movement, neat passives like desecrate on dash or pilfering in the void. I want to be able to look back at the starting point and not feel like just some numbers changed.
