I think the gay community itself is to blame for the high rates of STDs in the gay community.

I keep hearing this blamed on wider society or government, but last I checked, no one was forcing gay men to engage in risky sexual behavior. I think if one wants to engage in risky behavior, they need to take precautions and accept responsibility for their own actions.
