Why are some famous singers making so many Latin Spanish remixes to their songs?

I am seeing a lot of songs being remixed with some English parts by pretty famous artists, like Beyoncé (Song: Mi gente), Cardi B (Bodak yellow latin remix, where she sings 70 per cent of the song in Spanish) and the most famous one; Justin Bieber with Despacito remix. Why this year and not before? Thanks in advance!
