Any tips for a Platinum Nuzlocke?

Hey, so I started a Pt Nuzlocke. Same rules as general Nuzlocke, with dupes clause (dead Pokémon can be recaptured) and no-Pokémon-that-evolve-via-trading clause.

I'm currently in Eterna City. Beat Jupiter and all. I finally have a full team now, with Prinplup, Ponyta, Dustox, Buneary, Rotom, and the egg Cynthia gives you. Any tips on how to raise my team? Should I hatch the egg first before continuing onto the next route?

Also, would anyone be interested if I write a fanfic based off the Nuzlocke? I'm not sure I have a story for it yet tho.
