Looking to get back into this game. What did I miss?

I used to be a very frequent Smite player. I'd play about 3-5 hours everyday. However I took a pretty long break (school and work made it hard to play), and I'm wanting to get back into the game because I have so many great memories of it. Back when I consistently played, Skadi was the newest released god. I've played about 10 matches since then. I'm mainly wanting to know the big changes that have happened since then. How has the meta changed? What items are missy common for certain classes now compared to back then? I know these questions are pretty broad, but I'm just looking to get back into this game and make the smoothest transition possible, by knowing what to expect when I start playing again. Also, I need some people to play with, and maybe even a clan. Everyone I used to play with doesn't play anymore. My username is GerbilSlayer56
