Turn on firestick with Kodi loaded?

I was at my cousins house and he has his firestick set uo so that right after it goes through the innitial loading screen kodi is there waiting, without him having to select to run the app... I tried searching for it but only thing I've found is how to get the kodi app to the home screen, does anybody know how to have it turn on to kodi?
