Day 6
Last night, when I was about to sleep, I came up with an interesting idea. I think NoFap is just like a video game, an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), SAO style. We fapstronauts are all imprisoned inside a colossal tower, and the only way to escape this tower is to keep going upwards, beating tougher and tougher bosses, until we reach the apex. Every one of us starts at the bottom, the ground floor, which marks us as level 0; as each day passes, we ascend, we move upwards a floor and we gain a level. So at every floor there is at least one, if not many, brave fapstronaut battling monsters and demons. Novices are at around 0~50 floors; advanced warriors may travel beyond 100; the legendary knights are carving their names into monoliths at the height of 500 floors or beyond.
It’s an exciting thought, isn’t it? We are all warriors fighting against our temptations and inner demons, and only by completing this grand pilgrimage can we be finally free from addiction; only then will our souls be purified. Leveling up is easy—you level up once every day. But the hard part is that if you die in this game (i.e., relapse) you have to start all over again from level 0.
Today, I have just reached level 6, so this really is merely the beginning. However, if I can persist, in a few months, I’ll be well over 100, and I’ll only get stronger from there on.
Do not fret, brothers. Fight with me, together. The greatest enemy we will ever face is ourselves. We must conquer our weaknesses.
