Ammonia spike.

I just checked my new tank and I have an ammonia spike of about .25. I dosed prime and I’m going to start water changes tomorrow. I think when I moved my shrimp from the old tank to the new tank I used the old water and I had disturbed the substrate and that caused the spike. Any advice would be appreciated.

EDIT: woke up this morning and no massive die off. I tested the water and my ammonia level is at 0 but my nitrate level is 30+. Starting water changes now.
