Squad spawn broken? (Factory)

We tried to do pistol runs on Factory with a friend. I spawned in and saw a guy with his back turned spawn with me. He wasn't my friend, but a hatchling who 180 hatcheted me in the face. My friend spawned far away from me. I never experienced this in the previous patch.
