Played a game recently, what the heck happened to the charge swing?

So played a match as cruber using the 2H Hammer. When I started a match I noticed that I can't charge swing, holding the mouse button simply had him do his three swing combo. Thinking this was a glitch I went back to the lobby and I could charge swing to my heart's content. Went back into another game and noticed the same problem cept the charge swing was coming out in frequently.

Is this a glitch or was this intentional?

EDIT: I discovered my mouse was malfunctioning. Thank you Vermintide
