Girls hit on me at bars but guy dont.

I have straight friend and all the guys hit on him while many girls hit on me at the bars. I dont have any problem talking to the hottest girls but once a cute guy comes around its like the tables have turned. Why is this? I want gay guy to hit on me but it almost never happens. My friend gets quiet when talking to girls.. Any advice on this?
