[CA] Found a camera inside my rental home I have been living in for a month.

Recently moved in to a rental home with my girlfriend and a friend. I am not usually paranoid but lately I have been feeling this weird vibe like someone is watching me. I tried shaking it off but couldn't so decided to go investigating. There are motion detectors around the house (for an alarm system we don't know how to use and were not taught by the property managers) but one looked different. I finally took it down from the corner of the livingroom wall and looked it up.

It is a camera. Not only is it a camera, it is battery powered and it uploads images to the cloud via a cellular connection so it doesn't even need wifi.

What the fuck. My head is spinning. Should I be searching my house for more cameras? This was not disclosed to us and I am really starting to get freaked out. What are my options here? This can't be legal right?
