Has anyone here moved on from Japan? How's it going for you?

Hey guys. I taught in Vietnam for several years, and am currently on my fifth year in Japan. I'm currently enjoying it (was a little more lukewarm here before due to the location/job). I'm teaching at a private high school in Kyoto, and while I'm quite liking my situation, my contract is limited to 5 years - after this, there is possibility for tenure, though it's far from guaranteed.

Even if I were to get tenure though, I have had thoughts of moving on from Japan. I do like certain things about here, though wouldn't say I feel in love with the place, and don't know if I see myself here for the long haul. Have thought of a few different places (back to SE Asia, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, Colombia...and so on).

Just wondering if anyone has moved on from Japan, and how they're doing?
