Embedded Maps in China

I have a requirement to display a global map, with pin locations around the world, embedded on a page within my application. Google Maps has been a good solution for this globally, except of course for China, where Google Maps is blocked.

Google does have a mapping solution specifically for China (maps.google.cn), but it is impossible to connect to it with a secure connection, and attempting to embed the map over an unsecure connection is causing mixed content errors on my site.

I explored using Baidu maps, but I can't find any documentation in English, so I don't think this is a viable solution.

Has anyone come across a mapping alternative that will work in China, has a robust API available, and can be delivered over HTTPS?
