In kayfabe, what's happening during a botch?

Obviously a botch where someone gets hurt shootski is just the other person being extra brutal, like Bob holly getting dropped on his neck. But when two people kind of flop around awkwardly, what's supposed to be happening? The commentators are usually quiet and don't give much explanation

Edit: example botch of "what's happening here "
