I watched Total Recall (1990)

Somehow I have seen thousands of flicks but still haven't seen many of the great classics of the past generation. So yesterday I saw Total Recall. I was surprised how legitimately scifi the plot was initially. Then after about 1/3rd of chases and exposition, Ahnuld gets to Mars and it all becomes extremely corny extremely quickly, what with lady Threeboob et cetera. Then it starts to take itself more seriously again towards the ending, with the freedom fighters and Baby Guy and whatnot.

Apart from the to-be-expected corniness Verhoeven is famous for, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the movie, with a very brutalist set design (which I like, it makes it look like an 80s version of the future which of course it is), and good cinematography.
